2019 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) reveal final shortlist of nominees

Malaysia's finest residential, commercial, township and mass market developments will be recognised at a glittering gala.

- Past winners and up-and-coming developers make the final cut

- New special awards categories for Industrial/Logistics and Ultra Luxury Condo/Apartment Development announced

- Exclusive gala dinner takes place at the historic The Majestic Hotel in KL

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia ­­-- 29 March 2019: Malaysia's finest developers of the year will gather at the sixth annual edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia), presented by global brand Kohler, as the final shortlist is announced today after several months of rigourous nominations from the public, followed by supervised site inspections and judging deliberations by an independent panel of experts.

Making the cut are two former Best Developer winners, LBS Bina Group Bhd (2018) and Tropicana Corporation Berhad (2017). LBS earns nods for Best Mid End Condo/Apartment Development, Best Township Development (Klang Valley), and Best Mass Market Landed Development; while Tropicana collects two nominations for the Best Landed Development categories and one for Best Hotel Development.

Previous winners UEM Sunrise Berhad, MRCB Land, and Mah Sing Group Berhard return this year with multiple nominations. The competition also welcomes newcomers including boutique developer JKG Land Berhad, housing developer Emkay Group, and Venus Assets Sdn. Bhd, the team behind the ultra-luxury project Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur.

Along with various special awards for outstanding performance in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and Sustainable Development, the Awards will also present the Special Recognition for Industrial/Logistic Development, a new category added by the judges to recognise a growing niche segment of the market.

Malaysia's most prestigious property honours will be presented at the exclusive awards gala dinner taking place on Friday, 12 April 2019 at the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, located within a national heritage site in the Malaysian capital.

Known for its fair, transparent and credible judging system, which is supervised by the award-winning team of BDO, one of the world's largest networks of accounting and auditing firms, the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) are determined by an independent judging panel chaired by returning head judge Prem Kumar, Executive Director of Jones Lang Wootton. Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz is the Honourary President of the panel.

They are joined on the esteemed panel by respected industry experts: Ar.
