Singapore, 14th September 2009:
Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), a market leader in insurance and reinsurance broking, employee benefits consultancy and risk management services, along with leading insurer/reinsurer QBE, have launched an advertising campaign on www.PropertyGuru.com.sg, Singapore's leading real estate media, to market their new Rent Protection Insurance (RPI) product.
Rent Protection Insurance protects landlords from a range of tenancy-related risks. In essence, the product transfers the risk of loss of rental income suffered by a landlord to the insurer. The benefits of the product include coverage for loss of rent due to a range of risks – rent default, tenant absconding, eviction and/or failure to surrender vacant possession, untenantable periods due to property damage or deaths and the real estate agent absconding with rent collected from tenant.
The campaign will incorporate eye-catching animated banners on the PropertyGuru website and email direct marketing targeting Singapore’s landlords, within PropertyGuru’s 60,000 registered member database. An estimated 20 percent of PropertyGuru's 1.1 million monthly users own two or more properties and therefore fall into the target 'landlord' audience.
The campaign will highlight the product’s key selling points, which includes extremely low premiums – 15 percent of the first month’s rental. This one time payment protects landlords for the entire tenancy period of up to 24 months.
JLT Pte Ltd’s Director for Business Development, Gerard Lee said: “We wanted to work with a media partner with a targeted database of landlords. Property Guru. com.sg was a natural choice. We are convinced that landlords will find this product to be relevant to their needs.”
Mr Lee added: “If the economic and financial developments of the past few years have taught us anything, it is that we must protect our investments. Given the increasing trend of landlord tenant disputes and the tenancy-related risks, RPI, given the comprehensive protection it offers, and the affordability of its premiums is a smart choice for the smart investor.”
“We’re happy to be executing this campaign on behalf of Jardine Lloyd Thompson and QBE Given our position as Singapore’s leading property media, PropertyGuru provides a highly targeted platform to reach out to landlords” stated Steve Melhuish, cofounder and director of PropertyGuru.com.sg
