Google recently announced its annual Zeitgeist, and this year “Property Guru” was one of the top ten fastest rising searches in Singapore in 2009. The annual list compiled by search engine giant Google, tracks ‘the spirit of the times’, a look at 2009 though the eyes of those online. This demonstrates the high level of interest in the real estate market by Singapore’s Internet users, as well as www.PropertyGuru.com.sg as the most popular destination for ‘all things property’ during 2009. This news comes on the back of www.PropertyGuru.com.sg bagging the CNBC Award for “World’s Best Property Portal” in San Diego last month.
The much awaited annual Google Zeitgeist offers a unique perspective on the year's major events to the hottest trends, from the most popular search terms to exploring web activity patterns of Singaporeans. The annual report has become a reliable insight into the mindsets of Singaporeans (and global Internet users) and what gets them typing into Google’s search box.

“To be ranked alongside social media giants like Facebook and Twitter as well as Susan Boyle and the late King of Pop Michael Jackson as the fastest rising searches in Singapore is great news. This further illustrates the strength of the PropertyGuru brand, as well as importance of property to people in Singapore,” stated Steve Melhuish, Director and Co-founder of www.PropertyGuru.com.sg.
