Record number of nominees picked for the 13th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2018
More than 40 companies are vying for the real estate industry's highest honours.
- A total of 50 awards to be presented to the best of the best in the kingdom's building sector
- New categories include Best Senior Living and Best Co Working Space Development, and Special Recognition for Building Communities, Customer Care, and Public Facility
- Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi of TCC Assets named 2018 Real Estate Personality of the Year
BANGKOK,
Thailand - 13 August 2018: The country's
longest-running and most prestigious real estate awards programme today
announced a record 40 companies nominated in 50 categories for the 13th
PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2018.
Among the year's frontrunners is past winner Habitat Group, receiving seven nods, tied with newcomer ACE Estate Group, and former Best Developer titleholder Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC).
Other top nominees that received at least five nominations include Apex Development, AP (Thailand), and Altitude Development.
New categories that will debut this year include Best Senior Living Development, Best Co Working Space Development, Best Home Office Architectural Design, and Special Recognition for Building Communities, for Customer Care, for Design and Construction, and for Public Facility, expanding the scope of the Awards.
In addition, a special honour for the 2018 Real Estate Personality of the Year will be presented to one of pioneers of master-planned mixed-use communities in the kingdom, Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group CEO of TCC Assets (Thailand).
Winners will be presented on Friday evening, 31 August, at the main ballroom of The Athenee Hotel, a luxury collection hotel, Bangkok. More than 600 guests are expected to attend the exclusive, black-tie ceremony.

This year's independent judging panel is once again led by Suphin Mechuchep, Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle (Thailand) Limited. The panel members are: Charles Blocker - CEO & Founder, IC Partners Limited; Colin Yap Chin Wei - Founder/Creative Director, Hotels & Resorts Design Company Limited; Leong Choong Peng - Advisor (Thailand), Arcadis; Marciano Birjmohun - Director, The Singapore-Thai Chambers of Commerce; Sasivimol Sinthawanarong - Design Principal, JARKEN Co., Ltd.; Prof. Sonthya Vanichvatana, PhD - Associate Architect, MRICS, and Chairperson, Department of Real Estate, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, MSME Business School, Assumption University; and Dr. Theerathon Tharachai - CFO, Project Planning Service Public Company Limited.
The regional panel judges are: Clayton Wade - Managing Director, Premier Homes Real Estate; George Willoughby - Managing Director, Form Realty Thailand; Keith Humphreys - Managing Director, Keith Humphreys and Associates; Robert Krupica - Senior Partner, Hughes Krupica; and Russ Downing - Managing Director, Hua Hin Real Estate.
BDO, the world's fifth largest auditing firm, oversaw the entire awards process of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards, led by Paul Ashburn (Co-Managing Partner) and Angelina Harinck. (Assistant Manager).
