Switching from my background as an English Language and General Paper teacher to becoming a realtor has been exciting for me, and I love to help people ease the stress of finding and buying a property to set up their own cosy home or for their personal investment.

In my personal journey buying and selling properties for our own stay over the years (and we have bought both HDB and private properties a few times now), we have interacted with various agents who unfortunately were less than honest, and so it was hard for us to trust that they had our best interest at heart or that what they said to us was really truthful.

I believe real estate brokers need to act in their clients' best interest (that's a basic rule, not a virtue), and that it is a real privilege when people entrust us to help them in their quest to buy what could very well be their most expensive asset(s) in life. That trust is precious and should not be broken, and being a reliable agent who has done the necessary research to give good advice to my clients is what I strive to be consistently. After all, that would be the kind of agent I would love to have personally to represent me. The Biblical verse "so whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them" (Matthew 7:12) comes into mind here.

I'm also mindful that Jesus Himself had "no place to lay his head", meaning He had no real home on earth to call His own, so my real Home is also not found on earth itself but it's wherever He is (and He is always with me), and He sees what I do even when no one else does. So in any work I do, doing it in a way that would honour Him is most importanf.
