GuocoLand's Ascot Park’s Phase 1 sold

29 Dec 2009

GuocoLand’s Ascot Park’s Phase 1 in Nanjing, China was fully sold, as stated by the group the previous day.

The first phase of the project, which comprises 594 units, consisting of 2- and 3-room units with a variety of sizes that range from 87 to 130 sq. m., is sold for an average price of $1,500 (7,100 yuan) per sq. m. Meanwhile, the second phase, which comprises the remaining 518 units, is set to be launched within a few months.

Furnishing their new homes based on their preferences will be much easier for homebuyers as the development plies to a niche market segment. It is expected that the construction of Phase 1 will be completed before the year ends.

The Balinese-themed development project is situated 14 kilometres from the centre of Nanjing City. It includes a multi-purpose commercial centre that provides a wide selection of retail stores and eateries, a clubhouse, as well as a man-made lake. The project lies on a 90,000 sq. m. location with about 240,000 sq. m. total gross floor area.

“The strong sales for Phase 1 affirm the demand for our niche products which provide a quality setting with lush landscaping for our homebuyers to fit out their individual units to their liking. We are confident that Phase 2, to be launched in the next few months, will also be well received”, said GuocoLand (China) group MD Violet Lee.
