Three years in the making, the two integrated resorts in Singapore will finally open soon and operators remain positive about the new attractions.
Resorts World Sentosa, due to have its soft opening early in 2010, is expected to attract more than 13 million visitors in its first year.
The resort said it is receiving many enquiries everyday, and one of the most talked about attractions is Universal Studios theme park, which expects to attract over 30,000 visitors each day.
Visitors will be amazed, as they encounter Egyptian mummies, ferocious dinosaurs as well as a pair of roller coasters dueling around the theme park.
Resorts World Sentosa said that with over 60 food and beverage outlets, retail stores, and six hotels, visitors will surely enjoy their visit.
Noel Hawkes, vice president for Resort Operations of Resorts World Sentosa, said, “We’ve got Michael Graves studio – Michael Graves being the man who designed the entire resort.”
"We’ve got a Chihuly studio – Dale Chihuly is probably the most famous artist and maker of fabulous glass pieces, which by the way, he will have many pieces on display within the casino and in our Crockfords tower."
And in the downtown area, the construction of the Marina Bay Sands is also progressing. The resort is touting its attraction in the form of the huge Sands SkyPark, which links the three towers. It will feature a landscaped garden, a public observation deck, food and beverage outlets and outdoor pools. The 120,000-sq-m convention space can accommodate more than 150,000 delegates.
