Singapore-based KOP Properties and Beijing’s Reignwood Group have jointly acquired Ten Trinity Square in London for approximately S$219 million (£107 million).
The historical landmark is located near London’s River Thames, which is in the vicinity of Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and The Swiss Re Tower.
Built in 1922, Ten Trinity Square was once the headquarters of the Port of London Authority. It previously played host to the first meeting of the UN General Assembly in 1946 and was often the meeting point for dignitaries and royalty, including her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Ong Chih Ching, CEO of KOP, said that London was a strategic destination for the company.
“We recognise that this is a historical place that is important to the British people, and we are committed to upgrade this monument to make it even more impressive,” she said.
