The Ascott Limited, CapitaLand’s wholly-owned subsidiary, has unveiled its first Citadines serviced residential development in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Citadines Quartier Jakarta, a 135-unit residential project, is Ascott’s 15th Citadines property to open in the Asia Pacific region since it introduced the brand in 2006.
With the opening of the new serviced residence, Ascott strengthens its position as the largest international serviced residence owner-operator in Indonesia. The company now has more than 1,800 serviced apartment units across nine properties in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.
“Our Ascott and Somerset properties in Indonesia have been achieving strong average occupancy of around 80 percent. The introduction of Citadines will enable us to reach another segment of customers – savvy travellers who value flexible services to suit their lifestyle needs,” said Mr. Alfred Ong, Ascott’s managing director for Southeast Asia and Australia.
He added that the company will continue to expand its presence in Indonesia with the opening of Ascott Kuningan Jakarta, Citadines Rasuna Jakarta and Citadines Kuta Bali in 2012.
Citadines Quartier Jakarta is part of an integrated development that includes an office tower. It is strategically located in Jakarta’s CBD district, with easy access to government offices and embassies, as well as to supermarkets, shopping malls, dining and entertainment outlets.
The spacious city apartment comprises studios, one- and two-room units, as well as lofts. Each unit features a fully-equipped kitchen, separate work and living areas, a home entertainment system with cable channels and broadband Internet access. It also offers a fully-serviced business area – Klasse – which comprises meeting rooms, a business centre, banquet facilities, an Internet café and WiFi zones.
