The Ministry of National Development (MND) under the Estate Upgrading Programme has selected another six private estates to undergo upgrading at an estimated cost of $21 million.
Since the programme was launched in 2000, MND has already spruced up 38 private estates over six batches, spending $117 million and benefiting more than 29,000 households.
The 7th batch of private estates to undergo facelifts include Moonstone Lane, Cambridge, Lucky Heights, St Michael’s, Beng Wan, Faber Hills, Jalan Mata Ayer and Roxy. Over 5,000 households will benefit from the new and improved facilities in their estate when works are completed in 2013.
