Together with Universal Studios’ partial opening, the first casino in Singapore will open on Sunday at around 12:18pm.
It will be a day of festivities at the Integrated Resort on the red-letter day. Planned activities include the evening previews at its Universal Studios theme park and the debut of its public attraction — the Lake of Dreams.
The opening of the casino is part of the Phase 1 opening of the first IR in Singapore that began operations on 20 January 2010, with the opening of its four hotels: Hotel Michael, Crockfords Tower, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore and Festive Hotel. Its FestiveWalk, a shopping and dining promenade, had its soft-opening on 30 January 2010.
“In less than three years since the time we broke ground and commenced construction for Resorts World Sentosa, we have taken our vision from the drawing board to reality. This is a significant milestone in Singapore’s business history. We promised to deliver a true Integrated Resort, and we have not deviated from that,” said Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Chairman of Resorts World Sentosa.
For the sneak peek week, Universal Studios Singapore will open from 5pm to 9pm every night, starting from 14 Feb to 21 Feb 2010.
Admission tickets cost $10, rebated by a same-value dining voucher. Sale of the tickets will start on Friday, 12 Feb 2010 at around 11:18am. Guests who want to buy tickets for another day can visit the box office at the front gate of Universal Studios Singapore (sale of same day ticket is not available).
