Sembawang Engineers and Constructors has won a contract from integrated resort group Resorts World at Sentosa worth S$419 million.

It is the second contract awarded by Resorts World to the company, after successfully completing a S$250-million sub-structural works project in 2008.

The contract covers work in the 109,000 sq m West Zone of Resorts World, the second and final phase of the entire integrated development. It also covers the construction of the Equarius Hotel, an eight-storey, 374-hotel-room development with a basement.

Sembawang Engineers will also work on the construction of ESPA, a world class spa spread across landscaped grounds, as well as 42 luxurious beach villas adjoining it.

The company is also tasked to construct the Marine Life Park and a water theme park spread across more than 13,000 sq m situated near the Hard Rock Hotel.
