9 Jun 2010

Mainboard-listed Tiong Seng Holdings announced that its subsidiary, Tiong Seng Contractors, has sealed a contract worth S$146 million to design and develop a 429-unit eco-friendly condominium – Tree House – located in Chestnut Avenue, off Upper Bukit Timah Road.

Based on the contract, Tiong Seng will design and construct four 24-storey towers, as well as recreational and eco-friendly amenities, which include 24-storey high green walls that reduce the carbon footprint of the condo by filtering carbon dioxide and other pollutants.

The featured walls will also collect rainwater for landscaping irrigation throughout the tower.

According to its design specifications, the Tree House development has won the Green Mark Platinum Award, the highest accolade given by the Building and Construction Authority.

Construction of the Tree House project is expected to start on 1 July 2010 and will be completed in 30 months.

Tiong Seng’s order book, with this latest contract win, now stands at around S$1.1 billion. The company expects these orders to be fulfilled in the next 12 to 30 months.
