Frasers to launch Perth's first mixed-use project

3 Nov 2011

Frasers Property Australia (FPA), an international property arm of Frasers Centrepoint, will be launching the first mixed-use urban development in Perth, Australia.

Known as Queens Riverside, the project spans 15,300 sq m and comprises 408 luxury apartments in three buildings and 236 serviced apartments operated by Frasers Hospitality, as well as retail and commercial space.

“Queens Riverside is perfectly located, and poised to capitalise on the city’s mining boom,” said Lim Ee Seng, Group CEO of Frasers Centrepoint.

“The Australian economy has benefited greatly from growth in demand for commodities, accompanied by accelerating business investments. We expect interest from Singaporeans to be strong, given the proximity and easy air access to Perth,” he said.

The first residential stage, QIII, will comprise 265 apartments, including one-bedroom suites, three-bedroom town houses and dual key apartments.

Dual key apartments, which will be the first of its kind in Perth, refers to two independent residences sharing a common foyer, enabling the property to be independently occupied in two parts or merged into a single conventional apartment.

The residential development also features sliding louvre panels that can be pushed aside for an open balcony or pulled together to provide weather protection.

The construction of QIII is expected to commence early next year and is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
