Keppel Land, with its joint venture (JV) partners, Saigon Real Estate Corporation (RESCO) and Southern Waterborne and Transportation Corporation (SOWATCO), kicked off the highly-anticipated Phase Two of Saigon Centre with a ground-breaking ceremony held on-site at Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
His Excellency Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, graced the ceremony, which was attended by over 200 guests, including government officials, leading financial institutions, business associates and tenants.
Completed in 1996, Saigon Centre’s award-winning Phase One is located along Le Loi Boulevard in the heart of HCMC’s CBD. It has been a preferred shopping destination and prime business address for multi-national companies (MNCs), diplomatic corps, and banking and financial institutions.
Saigon Centre’s Phase Two is designed by internationally renowned architect, NBBJ. When completed in 2015, the 45-storey tower will feature seven levels of dining and retail spaces, Grade A office spaces and over 200 high-end serviced apartments.
“Keppel Land is privileged to lend our experience and know-how to create another landmark development that will redefine Ho Chi Minh City’s cityscape. This is in line with our aim to transform and enrich lives of the communities wherever we operate,” said Keppel Corporation CEO and Keppel Land Chairman Choo Chiau Beng.
Saigon Centre is set to make HCMC a coveted live-work-play city and showcase Keppel Land’s development expertise.
