Three civil contracts worth S$582.07 million were awarded yesterday by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the construction of stations on Downtown Line Stage 3 (DTL3).
One of the contracts is for the construction of the Tampines station, while the other two are for the construction of the River Valley and Tampines East stations, as well as their corresponding tunnels.
GS Engineering & Construction Corp, a Korean civil engineering contractor, has secured two contracts to build stations in Tampines East and River Valley for S$208.52 million and S$255.05 million respectively.
Meanwhile, the contract for the development of the Tampines station was awarded to KTC Civil Engineering & Construction for S$118.5 million.
The construction of the three stations and two tunnels will start soon and completion is targeted for 2017.
