12 Jul 2011

The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) has officially launched its S$120 million integrated campus at Stirling Road, with Singapore President S R Nathan gracing the event.

The campus houses a new 15-storey hostel, which can accommodate nearly 1,700 students.

With an S$80 million development cost, the hostel is considered one of the largest to be built by a private education institution in Singapore.

Officially called MDIS Residences@Stirling, the integrated campus development is part of MDIS’ objective to expand and enhance its existing campus at Stirling Road, as it aims to have 20,000 local and foreign students by 2015.

Aside from the new hostel, MDIS is also investing another S$40 million to enhance its facilities by adding three new buildings to its existing campus to offer more classrooms, technical studios, office space and car park lots.
