NTUC-IEA partnership to benefit real estate professionals

8 Aug 2011

With the signing of an agreement between the Institute of Estate Agents (IEA) and the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), around 1,800 IEA members can now get subsidies for training courses.

The partnership enables members to enjoy the privileges offered by both NTUC and IEA with a single membership.

For instance, members can get a S$250 training subsidy through the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) for certain courses on a co-sharing basis. These courses include Continuing Professional Development Activities, the Real Estate Salesperson Course and the Real Estate Agency Course.

The agreement, which is part of NTUC’s U Associate programme, was launched in March to diversify NTUC’s reach to more professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) through various bodies such as alumni clubs and industry associations. Nanyang Technological University Alumni Club was the first U Associate partner.

The partnership was inked by Vivek Kumar, Director of NTUC, and Herman Yeo, Chairman of IEA.
