Housing and employment are the main concerns of most Singaporeans, in their response to the recent National Day Rally speech delivered by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Singapore feedback unit Reach has received nearly 600 responses since Sunday’s speech, up 40 percent from last year’s responses.
Separately, Reach also found that many Singaporeans paid more attention to the new policies outlined by PM Lee, and listed jobs, housing and education as the main concerns, followed by the need to enhance social safety nets.
A Reach statement noted that people welcomed the PM’s address on increasing the supply of new flats and raising the income ceiling to qualify for a HDB flat.
