DBS Bank marked a big milestone today with the inauguration of its new headquarters at Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC).
More than half of the bank’s 8,000-strong employees have moved to the new premises, called DBS Asia Central at MFBC Tower 3, which houses the bank’s customer-facing units, a state-of-the-art dealing room, an innovative flagship branch and the first DBS Treasures Private Client Centre.
Today’s ceremony was graced by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
“The underlying drivers for Asia and the long term growth potential remain intact. As such, the demand for financing will grow,” said Mr Shanmugaratnam, adding that DBS is well-positioned to enjoy this growth.
Meanwhile, DBS Asia Central has been described as a living, collaborative workplace that facilitates the consolidation of relevant teams under one roof to respond to consumers’ needs more efficiently.
MBFC offers around three million sq ft of prime Grade A office space. According to earlier reports, DBS committed to take up 700,000 sq ft in Tower 3.
