The Housing and Development Board (HDB) has clinched six industry awards for its projects.

HDB was conferred five awards at the FIABCI Singapore Property Awards 2012. Punggol Waterway (pictured) stood out with its sustainable and high-quality environment, while public housing developments at Punggol East, Greenwood Sanctuary@Admiralty and the recently-completed Casa Clementi and Ghim Moh Valley completed the list.

The FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards is considered the Olympics of the property industry.

In addition, the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award was conferred to My Waterway@Punggol, in recognition of its engineering innovations and commercial as well as social impact.

“HDB is honoured to receive the FIABCI Singapore Property Awards and IES award. Last year, we introduced a new professional Roadmap focusing on developing Well-Designed, Sustainable, and Community-Centric towns. These awards are affirmation that we are on the right track,” said Dr Cheong Koon Hean, CEO of the housing board.

In other news, FIABCI has proclaimed Sandy Island, YTL Land’s maiden luxury project in Sentosa Cove, as the Best Residential (Low Rise) development in Singapore. This qualifies Sandy Island for the 2013 FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards.

Commenting on the honour, Joseph Yeoh, Vice President of YTL Land, said: “We are extremely honoured to represent Singapore in the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards; it is a true testament of the world-class aesthetics that Sandy Island offers to its homeowners. Every YTL Land home is individually crafted with great attention to detail, to meet the homeowner’s global lifestyle needs and aspirations.”

The development features a collection of 18 luxurious villas designed by acclaimed architect Claudio Silverstrin.
