Property firm CapitaLand launched its ‘Because iCare’ campaign during its annual Lunar New Year reception.
“The launch of Because iCare reinforces our ‘Building People’ credo and strengthens our commitment towards the people we build and the people we build for. Through this year-long campaign, business units across the Group will ramp up their efforts to engage and care for internal and external stakeholders,” said Liew Mun Leong, President and CEO of CapitaLand Group.
The campaign is characterised by three actions, the first being “We Care. We Save.” This shows CapitaLand’s commitment to expanding environmental awareness through eco-initiatives, wildlife conservation and green properties.
The second is “We Care. We Share.”, which centres on various tenant-, customer- and employee-focused initiatives. The third action is “We Care. We Give.”, which focuses on corporate social responsibility, specifically those of CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the group’s philanthropic division, as well as the company’s overseas and local staff volunteer programme.
The campaign website will serve as an online platform for stakeholders to share feedback on the Because iCare calendar of events.
Among the highlights of the campaign is the arrival of two giant pandas this year: a four-year-old male named Kai Kai and Jia Jia, a three-year-old female. CapitaLand is the conservation donor and presenting sponsor for the 10-year Giant Pandas Collaborative Programme, along with the China Wildlife Conservation Association (CWCA) and Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS).
