PropertyGuru to hold 2nd Malaysia Property Showcase this weekend

24 Feb 2012

With the aim of providing quality property investment and ownership opportunities to investors and buyers, PropertyGuru, Asia’s leading property portal, will hold its second Malaysia Property Showcase this weekend, 25 to 26 February 2012, at the Orchard Hotel, Singapore.

This showcase comes after the additional buyer’s stamp duty (ABSD) was introduced in Singapore in early December. “PropertyGuru has seen a growing demand for Malaysian properties among local investors. The Malaysia Property Showcase 2012 is organised for the second year to provide these property seekers and investors with affordable investment opportunity beyond Singapore’s restrictions,” it said.

The event will bring together a range of signature developments such as the Tropicana Grande (Petaling Jaya) and Tropez Residences (Johor Baru) by Djaya, St John Woods Residences in Kuala Lumpur by AM EL Group, The Arc in Cyberjaya by Andaman Group and DK-MY’s Senza Residences in Bandar Sunway.

It will also feature a series of talks on topics related to ownership of properties, such as ‘The impacts & implications of Singapore’s recent cooling measure for foreign buyers on Singapore properties’, to be delivered by Steve Melhuish, CEO of PropertyGuru Group.

“The show will be a one-stop shop for local property enthusiasts looking to purchase Malaysian properties for their own residential or investment goals,” noted PropertyGuru.

“The event consists of individually assigned rooms for the key developers to showcase their signature projects as well as ample space for visitors to find out more about their potential purchases and have their questions attended to.”

PropertyGuru added that visitors will get the opportunity to interact with industry professionals and developers first hand, aside from the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Note!
