Half-price schooling for Phuket condo buyers

Royal Phuket Marina has come up with a nifty marketing ploy to help sell its new family-style condominium development – a 50 percent subsidy on tuition fees for two consecutive years at the nearby British International School.

The special offer halves the standard school fees, which are US$7,800 per year in kindergarten, rising to US$14,000 (S$17,384) in primary school, and US$17,000 (S$21,108) in secondary school.

In addition to the 50 percent discount on the tuition fees, entrance and application fees totalling as much as US$4,750 (S$5,898) per child are waived.

The deal is available for all dependent children of families buying two-bedroom condos at La Reserve Residences (pictured), which is selling for prices starting from US$262,000 (S$325,325).

Royal Phuket Marina owner and developer Gulu Lalvani explained: “Phuket now has some of the finest international schools in Southeast Asia. These, together with the safe and relaxed island lifestyle, provide an attractive option for young families either settling in Asia or looking for an alternative to overcrowded city hubs such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai or Beijing, which have very high pollution levels.”

La Reserve Residences were unveiled at the SMART International Property Expo in Singapore last month. The development consists of 40 one- and two-bedroom condominiums in two blocks, each with its own rooftop Sky Pool.

For the exclusive use of residents, the infinity-edged roof-top pool decks are tropically landscaped, with barbecue areas and sun decks, and are reached by a direct-to-roof lift. From the roof, owners will get broad views of Phang Nga Bay.

The La Reserve project also adjoins the Kid’s Club, complete with multiple pools, water activities, interactive play areas, multi-function activity and entertainment rooms with games for children of all ages and an indoor lounge with restaurant and bar for the parents.

One-bedroom condominiums, range from 527.4 to 678.1 sq ft of combined indoor and outdoor space with sophisticated designer lounges with Thai accents, dual entry, en-suite bathrooms, fitted kitchens and balconies to enjoy cool tropical nights.

Two-bedroom condos of 893.4 to 1507 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space feature en suite bathrooms in both the master and guest/children bedrooms, spacious kitchens and generous dining areas.

Ground-floor units enjoy their own private wraparound tropical gardens. Upper-floor units have pristine views over Phang Nga Bay as well as the marina and waterways.
