More than 50 percent of units at the third block of the Star City residential project (pictured) in Myanmar have been snapped up, according to Serge Pun & Associates Group (SPA Group), a joint development partner of Yoma Strategic Holdings, a Singaporean firm.

It said that out of the 264 units in the third block, 172 have already been sold as of 22 May. It added that potential buyers also reserved 30 units at the project.

SPA Group, which has a 30 percent stake in the Star City development, said that the sales figure is in addition to the two apartment blocks that have already been sold.

According to a media report, the average psf price for units in the third block is around 30 percent more than in the second block.

The project is targeted at middle-income buyers and is expected to have over 9,000 apartments as well as commercial and shopping areas.
