Thai authorities rounded up 110 illegal workers during a raid on a Bangkok condominium construction site late last week.
Immigration and special branch police officers joined officials from the Department of Labour during the crackdown at the site of the TC Green Condominium (pictured) on the city’s Rama 9 road. The Thai News Agency reported that 99 Cambodians and 11 Myanmar nationals were arrested and will be repatriated. Their employer was also reportedly arrested for hiring the illegal workers.
The TC Green Condominium is being developed by Tiancheng International Property Co., Ltd. and was launched in April. The first phase of the four-tower development promises 958 units priced from THB1.74 million (S$70,400).
The developer was unable to provide comment when contacted by PropertyGuru.
