UK 140 home portfolio up for sale

Property investors are being offered a unique opportunity to acquire a portfolio of 140 investment properties in the United Kingdom.

Real estate agent Allsop is offering the residential investment opportunity which features a substantial number of homes throughout the Northeast of England. Some 103 of the 140 terraced and semi-detached homes come with assured shorthold tenancies. Estimated gross initial yield is 13.5 percent, according to marketing literature.

The entire portfolio of homes is being sold at offers in excess of £4.5 million (S$8.4 million), subject to contract.

Michael Gorman of Allsop’s Residential Investment team, speaking exclusively to DDproperty.com, said: “This sale of 140 houses (Portfolio 3) for the Skylight Capital Build Up Fund Plc represents a real opportunity for an investor to acquire a ready-made portfolio from a property fund which offers a very attractive gross yield with a genuine discount from the individual property values.

“The properties within the fund were carefully sourced by pre-determined criteria including price, location and suitability as a rental unit and in our experience discounts and yields of this strength and depth are rarely seen in other parts of the UK.”

Allsop’s regular auctions for commercial property in the Republic of Ireland, especially in Dublin, have been attracting “huge interest” according to a spokesperson for the agent.
