Price drop for UK's most expensive home

By Andrew Batt:

At S$130 million it’s the UK’s most expensive home currently on the market – and the good news for buyers is that the price has recently been cut by an incredible S$60 million.

Heath Hall (pictured) is a stunning Edwardian mansion in the Hampstead area of north London. With 14 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a library, cinema, gym and wine cellar, the home is perfect for what agent Knight Frank describes as “kings or princesses”.

The home has been on the market for more than two years. It was built in 1910 by sugar tycoon William Park Lyle. The freehold property occupies more than 2.5 acres and boasts what is one of the largest gardens in the north of the UK capital.

Knight Frank’s Grant Alexson, speaking to the Daily Mail, said: "The £65 million price is more realistic. It is not a bargain, but there is no house like it. It is beyond ambassadorial."
