A clock tower near Manhattan Bridge Overpass in Brooklyn, New York may seem like another old building, but a luxury penthouse (pictured) can be found on top that’s worth an eye-popping US$23.5 million (S$29.4 million).
Mostly hidden from public view, the unit has drawn much attention not only for the price tag but also its ambiance and scenic views of Manhattan’s skyline.
According to AsiaOne, the tower was built in 1914 and originally was a cardboard box factory. But in the 1980s, a developer bought the site and built 126 condo units.
The penthouse has been featured in several publications, including Esquire Magazine which named it the “2011 Esquire Apartment”. Esquire also furnished the unit and used it for their events.
