PropertyGuru, Asia’s leading property portal, is inviting the public to participate in its latest consumer sentiment survey that aims to gather general perception of Singapore’s real estate climate.
The Q1 2013 Property Affordability Sentiment Survey will run till March 15 and one lucky respondent could stand a chance to win a Nexus 7 tablet.
Among the hot topics brought up in the survey questionnaire include the government’s latest property cooling measures announced in January, overseas investment interest and concerns about bad neighbours.
In last quarter’s survey, the majority of those polled said home prices in Singapore remain unaffordable with the Property Affordability Sentiment Index (ASI) falling to 80, 20 points lower than the baseline in Q3 2011.
However, many upgraders still had intentions to buy HDB flats, probably due to their immediate needs, even though the results reflected continued pessimism over affordability.
A total of 660 online respondents participated in the last survey, done in collaboration with Blackbox Research.
