The 46-unit residential development 8 Napier (pictured) along Napier Road in Singapore has won the Merit Award in the overseas category at the Hong Kong Institute of Architect (HKIA) Annual Awards.

Designed by architectural firm Aedas, the project comprises a 10-storey apartment block that uses eco-friendly green designs and simple spatial concepts.

“Aedas is extremely proud that our international design is once again being recognised and awarded,” said Keith Griffiths, Member of the Board at Aedas International.

“At Aedas we believe that great design can only be delivered by people with a deep social and cultural understanding of the communities they are designing for. This is why our team was able to come up with and realise, in architectural expression, a new concept of apartment living by creating a city sanctuary in one of the most densely populated cities.”
