After almost two months of being on the market, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s five-bedroom house in Canberra will no longer be for sale.
First listed on 29 May, the 465sq m home located in the suburb of Yarralumla was priced at A$2.25 million (S$2.61 million), said reports.
According to Shane Killalea, an agent at Peter Blackshaw Canberra, the house is now leased to tenants who “offered good rent,” although declining to reveal exact figures.
Rudd and his wife Therese Rein bought the house in 2010 for A$2.175 million (S$2.53 million), said reports. The house features four bathrooms, an outdoor entertainment area and a swimming pool.
The Rudd family moved out in 2011 after their son Marcus finished school in Canberra, the nation’s capital.
No reason was given for why the home was taken off the market, despite being inspected six times.
