Malaysia Property Showcase debuts in Johor

23 Jul 2013

PropertyGuru, the leading property portal in Asia, will hold its popular Malaysia Property Showcase (MPS 2013) for the first time in Johor Bahru at the Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour this weekend (27 – 28 July) from 10am to 7pm.

Gerard Kho, Country Manager for PropertyGuru Malaysia, said: “Johor remains a strong investment hub because of its minimal foreign ownership restriction, high ROI potential on projects, high capital appreciation potential and zero capital gains tax on properties sold after five years of purchase.”

“What’s exciting about the MPS Johor is that we are offering potential buyers the privilege to view and visit the actual developer sites via a free shuttle service, from the Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour to the sites.”

Singaporeans will also be able to take the free shuttle service from Venture Avenue near the Jurong East MRT station.

“Overall, potential buyers are able to have access to 10 property developments in just one central location, and enjoy up to a five-percent rebate for selected property developments,” Kho added.

MPS 2013 will showcase several projects from Malaysian developers like Tanah Sutera, Country Garden, UM Land (Dynasty View), UM Land (Lextrend), Tropicana Danga Bay, Mah Sing and Zhuoyuan Iskandar.

There will also be educational talks taking place with property experts such as best-selling author Milan Doshi who will discuss ‘The Benefits of Buying Property Direct from Developers and The Hidden Gems of Malaysia Property Hotspot’. Jonathan Lee (GMAC Realtors), Ryan Khoo (Alpha Marketing) and Steven Tan (Skybridge International) will also share insights on Johor properties.

“We are expecting a good balance of both local and foreign buyers, especially Singaporeans, as with tighter cooling measures announced at the beginning of this year, we foresee that Singaporeans will be looking to invest in Johor,” noted Kho.
