An appreciation night for Singapore and Malaysia buyers of a Thailand condominium development attracted more than 100 people when it took place last weekend.
The event, believed to be the first of its kind, was organised by Singapore real estate agency Trillion for its buyers of units at The Mark, a Bangkok freehold condominium project in the Makkasan district of the Thai capital.
Management and staff from the agency were joined by guests from WinPro Property, the developer of the project, and UOB Singapore. Guests at the dinner were also given updates on the construction of the project.
Gary Liew, a first time investor in overseas properties, said: “I travel frequently to Bangkok and have been curious about investing in Thai properties for a while. I chose the Mark Condo because of its good location with easy access to the Makkasan Airport Link and the Rama 9 MRT.”
Agnes Tan, a seasoned property investor, added: “It boils down to timing and location. Compared to Singapore, Thailand is an attractive place to invest because of the currency exchange advantage, good food and great services. Of course, trust is another important aspect. Trillion Property has done a good job by providing us with constant updates on the project progress, as well as to ensure that everything is done in a concise and transparent manner.”
William Loke, Managing Director for Trillion Property, said: “This appreciation night is a way for us to show our heartfelt appreciation to The Mark condo buyers for their support. It is also a great opportunity to gather all the buyers under one roof. They were able to receive the latest project updates and other professional advice pertaining to their purchases. This will definitely help to reassure buyers that their properties are on the right track, and the right pair of hands.”
Joel Tan, Senior Marketing Director with Trillion, added: “I think it is uncommon for a real estate agency to hold such events, especially for overseas projects. Based on the strong turnout, we are definitely keen to hold another similar event again for other similarly successful projects.”
