Singapore spotlight for BKK condos

30 Aug 2013

EXCLUSIVE: Thailand property investments will once again be in the Singapore spotlight this weekend with three exhibitions taking place that will showcase a number of condominiums from Bangkok.

Prominent listed developer Land and Houses is exhibiting two of its premium projects outside Thailand for the first time. It will be showcasing two developments – The Bangkok Sathorn (pictured) and The Room Sukhumvit 21 – in association with Knight Frank at the Four Seasons Hotel’s Windows East (20th floor) tomorrow and Sunday between 11am and 7pm.

A spokesperson for the developer told PropertyGuru: “Nowadays many Singaporeans are doing business and also taking vacations in Thailand, and consequently they have started looking for their own accommodation in Thailand.”

The company, which has achieved a ‘Trusted Brand’ award from Reader’s Digest Thailand for eight years, is one of the leading property developers in the country.

SC Asset, another high-profile listed Thai developer, is also marketing two Bangkok condominium projects – the first time these developments have been marketed overseas. This follows the successful Singapore launch of its Crest Sukhumvit 34 project in the city-state last year.

The completed projects – also The Crest-branded freehold condominiums in the capital’s Sukhumvit 24 and Sukhumvit 49 – will be showcased at a property exhibition with Singapore real estate agency SQFT Global Properties which will take place at Raffles Convention Centre’s 4th floor Enterprise Room tomorrow and Sunday between 11am and 7pm.

Tidy Deluxe condominium at Sukhumvit 34 will be the focus of a third Thailand property event in Singapore which is taking place this weekend.

The freehold project by developer Thonglor Seventeen is being marketed by Trillion Property at an event at the Hilton Hotel Level 5 tomorrow and Sunday between 10am and 6pm.

Thailand property investments have been increasingly popular with Singaporean buyers this year. Earlier this week Colliers International revealed a 21 percent quarter-on-quarter jump in average Bangkok condominium prices during the second quarter of this year.
