One of the first London Property Exhibitions to take place in Brunei happened last week, with agents describing both the levels of interest and sales as being far better than they had expected.
Brunei-based Valor Property Agency working alongside Colliers International Singapore showcased The Library Willesden Green, a collection of one- and two-bedroom apartments in the Northwest part of the U.K. capital developed by Grosvenor International.
Local media reported that more than five of the 21 available apartments were purchased at the two-day event, with education being the primary driving factor being the buying decision. Prices for a one-bedroom apartment at the project, which has also sold in Singapore, start from £350,000 (S$697,861).
Richard Levine, Director of International Properties South East Asia for Colliers International based in Singapore told PropertyGuru: “I was pleasantly surprised with the interest from property buyers and investors from Brunei.”
He added that his company plans to bring further London projects to Brunei before the end of the year.
Elsewhere in Southeast Asia, Myanmar has also seen increasing numbers of its citizens looking at, and buying, ‘safe haven’ properties in London this year.
