Hillion Residences seminar draws good crowd

4 Sep 2013

A recent seminar organised by PropertyGuru and held on a Sunday at the Hillion Residences showflat in Bukit Panjang attracted a healthy number of visitors. This is the fourth such event in 2013 for the property portal.

The attendees were mainly Singaporean buyers and investors, many of whom reside in other parts of the country.

Several visitors who spoke to PropertyGuru said they were drawn to the mixed development by Sim Lian JV (BP) as it has a retail mall directly below the residential component. Another key attraction is that it will be integrated with the upcoming Downtown Line by 2015, linking directly to Bugis MRT station.

Insights provided by two expert speakers about the potential of mixed-use projects and property financing tips also proved beneficial and informative to participants.

Keith Cheong, Head of Research and Analytics at PropertyGuru, who was one of the speakers said: "Mixed-use developments have been gaining popularity over the past few years, embracing the concept of integrated living island-wide. Bedok Residences, The Centris and Hillion Residences have taken it a step further by supporting the retail and residential developments with a comprehensive network of bus and rail services.”

“Such integrated transport hubs present a compelling option for investors who seek to provide not only convenience for tenants, but also accessibility to the city centre; right at the doorstep,” he added.
