Urban Land Institute to open Singapore office

9 Jan 2014

The Singapore office of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) will open later this month, the organisation said on Thursday.

Dedicated to responsible land use, the global non-profit research and education institute also named Pauline Oh as Senior Vice President for ULI Asia Pacific.

Oh, who joined ULI in November 2013, will be its first full-time executive to be located in Singapore. She was previously General Manager for Terrapinn.

Her responsibilities will include guiding the firm’s Asia Pacific business through various real estate trends conferences and topical forums, strengthening ULI’s brand, outreach to new partners, land use and real estate-related research relevant to Asia, and ULI advisory service panels providing assistance to Asian markets.

“Singapore is a great example of a city that has undergone world class urban planning and development and its future vision for development is very much aligned with ULI,” said John Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of ULI Asia Pacific.

“The opening of our first office in Singapore, and having ULI executive staff in this strategically important market, is a strong reflection of ULI’s intention to continue to invest in expanding and developing its relationship with members not only in Singapore but throughout the APAC region,” he added.
