EXCLUSIVE: Three London developments were attracting healthy levels of both interest and sales in Singapore last weekend.
Silver Wharf (pictured) in the Limehouse area of the U.K. capital was selling well judging by the number of red ‘sold’ stickers on the sales board.
Sarah Nicholson, Associate Director for agents CBRE, told PropertyGuru: “The price point and the fact the project is close to being completed have been attractive to buyers, as has the 5 percent net returns package for two years that we have been able to offer.”
Nicholson also commented on the number of cash buyers her company was seeing.
She added: “It seems the fringe areas of London are doing pretty well right now, and this project is located is a classic investment stock.”
Also attracting sales, but at a much higher price point, was the iconic Eight Artillery Row.
Doris Tan, Director of Overseas Projects for agents Jones Lang LaSalle, told PropertyGuru: “I’m very happy with the interest we’ve seen in this outstanding project.
“The location and the exclusivity have been the main driving factors for the buyers we have seen.”
The 33-unit development, which held its ‘World Launch’ in Singapore, moves on to Hong Kong for another sales exhibition tomorrow (Tuesday).
Berkeley Homes’ Saffron Square’ was also attracting good levels of interest and buying activity.
Richard Levine of Singapore agency Colliers declared himself happy with the level of sales, while Jacob Sullivan, Regional Sales Manager for Berkeley Homes, told PropertyGuru: “This project really does offer value-for-money and convenient access.”
He added that some 330 of the 414 apartments have already been sold, many to buyers in the U.K.
Singapore buyers and investors, said Levine, needed little educating about Croydon, the location of Saffron Square, which is some 15 miles south of central London, and property in the U.K in general.
“They’ve done their homework and they know the area,” he said.
