New Sydney icon to attract foreign buyers

A landmark residential tower by luxury developer Crown Group will soon launch in Sydney’s central business district, making it the only new apartment building in the area to begin sales before the year’s end.

The 25-storey Sydney by Crown will be built at a cost of AUD$250 million and will comprise 220 units. A collection of boutique serviced apartments will also be released for sale.

Residents will have access to a swimming pool and gymnasium on the ground floor, while the rooftop will have a bar and garden open to owners and guests.

The development is within walking distance to tourist hotspots like the Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour.

International investors as well as owner-occupiers are expected to show interest for the project due to its iconic status and Sydney’s reputation as a top global destination.

In fact, Sydney was ranked the world’s most liveable city by PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) earlier this year.

The report compared 30 cities around the world across six variables to measure liveability, namely cultural vibrancy, quality of living, working age population, traffic congestion, ease of commute, and relocation attractiveness.

Apartment sales at Sydney by Crown will begin on 22 November. Construction is scheduled to complete in 2017.
