A substantial area of freehold water frontage on Fiji’s exclusive Wailoaloa Beach, is for sale and is expected to fetch US$US10 million.
Sales agent, Adam Yared from Raine & Horne Fij, said: “The 50 acres of rare waterfront is located on Wailoaloa Road, Nadi, and is a combination of two 25-acre properties.
“This is a unique opportunity for an investor or developer as the two waterfront properties offer a combined 500 metres of beachfront access to the stunning Wailoaloa Beach, and represent the only freehold properties still available within minutes of Nadi International Airport.
“A 250-room hotel or resort complex is already approved for this location.”
Apart from access to the Nadi town centre, Yared confirmed the properties are fully-serviced with water, electricity and telephone connections.
“The properties are zoned for either residential or tourism developments, so we expect them to appeal to developers with expertise in tourism, resort or marina facilities,” said Yared.
“To date, there has been some interest from local buyers with connections offshore, as well as some Asian-based investors.”
Despite a spike in Asian holidaymakers visiting Fiji, Yared confirmed the local hospitality sector is not resting on its laurels.
“Plans are afoot to provide improved shopping experiences and other hospitality options that will attract a bigger slice of the growing Chinese tourism market,” he concluded.
