Pacific Bondi Beach, one of Bondi’s most prestigious residential, hotel and retail development, has just set a new Australian record for the highest priced apartment sold.
The apartment (pictured) was purchased by an entity associated with Andrew Roberts, the well-respected former Managing Director of Multiplex Limited. The Roberts family were the undisputed leaders in the construction and development industry in Australia and shepherded the growth of Multiplex worldwide before selling the business to Brookfield in late 2007.
The price is confidential but sources close to the deal have said that it is in excess of the AUD$21 million paid in 2013 by an entity associated with Will Vicars for his Australian record breaking purchase of two amalgamated apartments at the same development.
Roberts’ two-storey ‘Lighthouse’ with unsurpassed beach and ocean views will boast an impressive size of nearly 900 sqm, which includes 560 sqm of living space and a 320 sqm terrace with a 40 metres frontage facing the iconic Bondi Beach.
Buyer interest for the homes at the development has come from all corners of the globe, with buyers from Europe and Hong Kong considering Pacific as the ultimate trophy investment in Australia.
This record-breaking sale was negotiated by the developers in conjunction with Steven Chen, Director at McGrath Projects.
