Sentosa to study possible revamp

Sentosa is expected to undergo major redevelopment plans over the next five years, according to media reports.

Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has put up for tender the first phase of the consultancy exercise last week.

The exercise will study the feasibility of revamping the island’s six precincts, specifically the possibility of enhancing the built environment and using land more efficiently.

It will be carried out in three phases and the area between Resorts World Sentosa and the Beach Station will be studied in the first phase of the consultancy exercise.

Responding to queries from PropertyGuru, SDC said the residential enclave on the island, Sentosa Cove, will not be affected by the redevelopment plans.

Sentosa Cove has more than 2,000 high-end private homes and it has been touted as the “world’s most desirable address”.
