Free Wi-Fi at selected MRT stations in the heartlands

32 MRT stations will have free Wi-Fi access by the end of next year, according to media reports citing the Land Transport Authority (LTA)’s annual rail report.

The stations are Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Batok, Buona Vista, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Eunos, Jurong East, Khatib, Paya Lebar, Sembawang, Yishun, and all the stations on the North-East Line (NEL).

The Wi-Fi will be available via Wireless@SG and commuters will need to set up a Wireless@SG account to access.

Free Wi-Fi access is currently available at City Hall, Orchard and Raffles Place MRT stations since August this year.

Selected platforms at Bishan, Dhoby Ghaut and Outram Park stations are also connected and by the mid-2015, all the platforms at those stations will be connected with Wi-Fi.
