$400,000 a month for UK condo

25 Feb 2014

A five-bed penthouse in the most expensive apartment block in the world has been put on the rental market for the equivalent of more than S$400,000 per month.

The property, which also boasts a further five reception rooms (pictured), six bathrooms, access to wine cellars and two parking spaces, is in London’s One Hyde Park development. It was developed by the billionaire Candy brothers and was completed three years ago.

Understandably this currently is the most expensive rental property in the U.K.

The 86-unit London property development also provides its residents with Rolex and McLaren shops, a private spa, gym, swimming pool and cinema.

Simon Price, Head of Super Prime Lettings at Savills, the real estate agency which is handling the property, told The Standard: “It is the outstanding building of its type in London, there is nothing to match it yet.”

In the rental property listing for One Hyde Park, Savills noted: “Suitable for entertaining on a grand scale, the apartment boasts a formal reception room (with a balcony) which benefits from an enviable 180 degree expansive view over Hyde Park and The Serpentine.”

The property is managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotels.
