Property investment opportunities in Thailand were attracting significant interest in both Singapore and Beijing last weekend.
In Singapore Sansiri’s The Base Park East at Sukhumvit 77 achieved an impressive 25 sales in partnership with real estate agency PropNex.
Benjamin Tan WL, District Director for the agency, told PropertyGuru.com; “The partnership of one of the biggest developers in Thailand and one of the biggest agencies in Singapore lead to a fruitful official launch for The Base Park East (pictured).
Tan pointed out that the event was a ‘by-invitation-only’ event, without relying on newspaper advertisement at costly hotel ballrooms.
He added: “I attribute the success to an excellently-located product from Sansiri, and Propnex’s network of clients and agents that saw such well-received results."
Sansiri’s 27-storey freehold condominium features 504 units with prices starting from S$86,000.
Elsewhere The Scene Condo, a freehold development of one- and two-bedroom apartments on the resort island of Phuket, was being showcased in Singapore by real estate agency DTZ.
Margaret Thean, Executive Director Residential, told PropertyGuru.com: “Our research has found the overall sentiment among developers and homebuyers [in Thailand] to be more positive in Q2 compared to the previous quarter.
“Consistent with our findings, interest on the ground has been encouraging, as the development attracts people who are seeking holiday homes amid the rustic setting of Phuket.
“Activity is expected to pick up in H2 as developers foresee more clarity with regard to the overall property environment, as well as clearer infrastructure plans announced by the temporary military government.”
The two luxury resort-style apartments at The Scene are priced from S$120,000 and offer guaranteed returns of 8 percent, subject to conditions.
SC Asset Corporation also enjoyed a successful first property exhibition in Beijing last weekend, with its Centric-Rachada Huay Khwang development taking centre stage.
JM Loo, Associate Director for Business Development at SQFT Global Properties, described the response from Beijing buyers as “very good”.
She told PropertyGuru.com: “We spoke to more than 160 people who expressed an interest, achieved some bookings, and we also have 20 groups coming to Thailand in the coming weeks to view the property.”
