Three coastal and marine sites in Singapore are expected to be improved to draw more visitors, according to media reports.
Labrador Nature Reserve may soon have a floating boardwalk to allow visitors to observe the biodiversity of the shallow water reefs more easily.
Changi Beach Park (pictured) could offer visitors closer experiences with marine life by building new facilities which allows visitors to value the wildlife there without damaging the lower intertidal areas.
Recreational diving spots and improved walkways and shelters are also planned for Sisters’ Island Marine Park, which is home to rare species of seahorses and clams.
According to tender documents posted on the government’s procurement portal, the National Parks Board (NParks) wants to enhance biodiversity along Singapore’s coastlines and islands, while making them more accessible to the public.
