New Sungei Seletar bus depot to be ready by Q3 2017

A new Sungei Seletar bus depot will be built to accommodate the growing bus fleet in Singapore, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a statement on 30 January.

Located off Yio Chu Kang Road beside the Seletar Expressway (SLE) and Sungei Seletar Simpang Kiri river, the depot will accommodate about 500 buses.

It will also be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus repair and maintenance, bus parking, offices, rest area for bus drivers and canteen

Additionally, an access road will be built to serve the depot.

The Sungei Seletar bus depot is within the vicinity of Bullion Park and a landed housing estate. It is slated to be completed by third quarter of 2017.
