In a bid to dominate the commercial leasing and tenant representation business, Savills has hired a leading tenant representation team composed of Marcus Loo, Greg Marler and Ashley Swan, who were all formerly from Colliers International Singapore.
The three have a collective tenant representation experience of more than 50 years, and their focus on purely representing lessees and providing them with impartial advice has fostered client loyalty through the years.
Savills CEO for Southeast Asia Chris Marriott said, “Over the past few years, they have proved themselves to be leaders in the tenant rep arena and I have no doubt that combined with Savills regional strength and our new international partnership with Savills Studley in North America, they will carve out a leading position in the Singapore marketplace for Savills.”
Additionally, industry veteran Marcus Loo was appointed as Executive Director and he will lead Savills Singapore’s expanded commercial leasing and tenant representation business. The newly-created team is one of the biggest in the city-state and will prioritise office and business park space.
The team specialises on tenant advisory and has secured one of largest market shares in advising leading financial institutions, local businesses and multinational corporations (MNCs), including some of the major new rentals, renewals and restructures.
Loo said, “The three of us have been together for a number of years and the proposition to build an even stronger business was attractive especially given the associations Savills has in Asia, North America and Europe.”
