HDB flat subsidies

Between 2012 and 2014, a total of 2,051 Singaporean households purchased Build-to-Order (BTO) flats with subsidies, revealed the Ministry of National Development (MND) in a written reply to a query by Member of Parliament Mr Gan Thiam Poh in parliament on Monday.

Specifically, 47 households booked 2-room BTO flats for less than $40,000, of which three households did so for less than $20,000.

Meanwhile, 283 households booked 3-room BTO flats for less than $120,000, of which 27 households did so for less than $100,000.

In addition, 1,721 households booked 4-room BTO flats for less than $250,000.

MND explained that these prices were after subsidies granted to eligible households which could take up to $40,000 in Additional CPF Housing Grant and $20,000 in Special CPF Housing Grant.
